St. Clairsville is nestled in the hills of eastern Ohio. It has been named "Pardise on the Hill" by the town council. St. C parallels I-70 and sits within eyesight of the Ohio Valley Mall and the Ohio Valley Plaza which provide shopping for most people's needs. Wheeling, WV is only nine miles to the east, while Pittsburgh, PA is only 75 miles east. Columbus, OH is 120 miles to the west, while Cleveland is only 150 miles to the north. All cities are accessible via interstate highways. St Clairsville offers a wide range of educational opportunities. It is the home of Ohio University Eastern and Belmont Technical College. Besides the St. Clairsville S.D., St. C is also the the home of the Belmont County Board of Development Disabilities. For country music fans, St. C hosts the "Superbowl of Country Music-Jamboree in the Hills" for a week each July.
